Research and Selected Publications

Over the past fifteen years, my research has focused on improving health care decision making. Although my work spans several clinical areas, the primary focus has been childhood obesity and cardiometabolic disease. Across these areas, I examine how evidence is translated into decisions and actions, with a particular focus on identifying barriers to effective care and developing strategies that align healthcare interventions with stakeholder needs, priorities, and values. 

Methodologically, I draw on a broad toolkit of methods— stated preference elicitation, qualitative methods, economic evaluation, simulation modeling, health services research, and policy analysis— applied wherever the question calls for it.
